TRS Chick Peas are dried legumes that are also known as Kabuli chana or white choley. Chick peas are a rich source of protein, fiber, iron, and folate. They have a nutty and creamy taste and a firm texture. TRS Chick Peas are natural and pure products that are sourced from the finest quality chick peas.
Usage: TRS Chick Peas can be used for making various dishes such as curries, salads, hummus, falafel, and soups. They can also be roasted and seasoned for a crunchy snack. To use chick peas, you need to soak them in water overnight or for at least 8 hours. Then drain and rinse them and boil them in fresh water until tender. You can also use a pressure cooker to save time.
Recipe: Chick Pea Curry
1 cup TRS Chick Peas, soaked and boiled
2 tbsp oil
1 onion, chopped
2 tsp ginger-garlic paste
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp red chili powder
1/2 tsp coriander powder
1/4 tsp garam masala
2 tomatoes, pureed
2 cups water
2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
Heat oil in a pan and fry onion until golden brown.
Add ginger-garlic paste and cumin seeds and sauté for a minute.
Add salt, turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder and garam masala and mix well.
Add tomato puree and cook until oil separates.
Add water and bring to a boil.
Add chick peas and simmer for 15 minutes or until the gravy thickens.
Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or bread.
